Wonderful!

Just one thing though...

Towards the end when Jack is asking Martha for the oscillating numbers from Indigo device...well he's asking Martha and Martha is the one that gives him the numbers, but in the script direction it's written that Gwen answers.

JACK
(dashing around, on phone)
Martha, open that Indigo device! Now, listen to me: lift the central panel. There's a string of numbers that keep changing.
(picks up a large gun)

INT. MARTHA'S HOUSE

JACK (CONT'D)
But the fourth number keeps oscillating between two different digits. Tell me what they are.

GWEN
(looking)
It's a four and a nine. We could never work out what that was.

Otherwise, WONDERFUL, thanks! Slip of the fingers I'm sure; there were so many characters to keep track of in that ep!

identity mad !: torchwood_digital_angel on July 1st, 2008 10:13 pm (UTC)
Oh, yeah! Slip of the fingers indeed. Yup, it was packed with characters - I nearly died when I saw the opening credits ;)
Sarahblueprintblue on July 1st, 2008 07:21 pm (UTC)
You are amazingly fast. Fabulous. I didn't do an extensive check-through, but it was an excuse to re-watch most of the episode, and I came up with this:

---
LUKE
They're fine - Marie and her Dad, they're still in Cornwall.

Should be "Maria"; he does elide the vowels, but they never call her "Marie".
---

HARRIET JONES
And tell the Doctor from me; he chose his companions well.

I'd say colon instead of semi-colon.
---

ROSE
I've got you. I missed you. Look!

"It missed you", rather, although I'm sure she missed him as well . . .
---

I'm inspired. I should go do a few QI transcripts now . . .

RE: Rose's Comment on the Energy Bolt
Is that where everyone is hearing it? I've been wondering!

I didn't hear it...at first...then after reading this and knowing where everyone else heard it. Hmm. Yup...it's definitely the short 'i' sound for "it" rather than the long 'i' for "I."

Many thanks!

Re: RE: Rose's Comment on the Energy Bolt
I quit all my Doctor Who comms to avoid spoilers. Do enlighten me: Who's been hearing what?
Christine: DW | Enigmaticeclectic_imp on July 1st, 2008 07:48 pm (UTC)
Re: Rose's Comment on the Energy Bolt
Oh goodness...I'm sorry. *blushes*

So as not to spoil you at all...there's been much discussion in the discussion threads at various comms as to Rose saying "It missed you." There were others (besides me, I don't comment often) that couldn't figure out when she supposedly said it. It's one of many things fueling the speculation regarding next ep. Won't say how as I don't know if you consider speculation, spoilers.

And I apologize again. :)
identity mad !_digital_angel on July 1st, 2008 10:08 pm (UTC)
Hehe, what can I say? I have too much time on my hands ;)

Seriously, IT missed you? I've watched it four times and hadn't picked up on that, but having listened again - you're right! Super, thanks for pointing those things out.
girlfmkitty on July 1st, 2008 07:27 pm (UTC)
Thanks for that - seriously!

*does the 'I was right!' dance for a couple quotes in the script*
identity mad !: peekaboo_digital_angel on July 1st, 2008 10:09 pm (UTC)
You're welcome! =)

Incidentally, which quotes have people been debating about?
girlfmkitty on July 1st, 2008 10:12 pm (UTC)
No, it's just my sister and a friend. My sister had doubts about, "You're so young" that Sarah Jane tells Luke (she understood "He's so young") and my friend said that the attendant at the Shadow Proclamation told Donna, "You have something on your back." (I said, "you had" and it's "there was" so I was right!) *continues dancing*

Oh! Hehe. Yeah, I'm pretty certain that's what they are, it would make sense!

We backed up and watched that scene about three times to make sure of the past tense! :) I also found it interesting that the Shadow attendant brought her water just like the General did in Turn Left.

OK, one less for me to worry about! Looks good with the new setting.

Site's been revamped, all the links are broken. Will fix them soon, but for now you'll have to go to the homepage -

I was totally wondering why going directly to s4 didn't work... Yay explanations!

INT. UNIT BASE, TEST AREA 1

General Sanchez turns a wheel which opens up some kind of secure storage safe.

Actually, the UNIT solider who came with the General and Martha turns the wheel. Then he steps back out of the scene for a moment. He does not have any lines that I remember.

Ooh, yeah, you're right! Fixed.

And you are awesome for doing the transcripts in the first place! I have great admiration for the site and all the hard work! :)

Ahh, thanks! I do really enjoy doing it, but it's always nice to hear that people appreciate it =D

a few more things, if you would like them
Did you want/need copyediting, also? (I set my spellchecker to British spelling btw--it can be done in M$ Word.) If so, there are these:

INT. ELECTRONICS STORE

Rose is also picking up the transmission.

DALEKS
Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Exteminate!

The last Exterminate! is typoed--needs an "r"

THE DOCTOR
(watching their names flash onto the screen, brow furrowed)
Callufrax Minorr, Jahoo, Shallacatop

There seems to be some question as to the spelling of Callufrax or is it Calufrax? However, typo on Minorr, should be Minor.

The wiki listing of planets has Shallot Top, but it is the wiki, so who knows?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_planets

DONNA
What about Pyrovillia?

The wiki has one "l": Pyrovilia The homeworld of the Pyroviles, rock beings featured in "The Fires of Pompeii".

At this point, I would consult the BBC DW site for proper spellings on these planets. :)
The wiki has undergone many, many edits, esp. on The Stolen Earth entry over the last week--in fact, the list of planets that was there is now gone--so it can't be trusted. :( Some of the mentions of Pryovillia after that have one "l", others have two.

INT. SHADOW PROCLAMATION, HQ

The Doctor and the Shadow Architect are by the computer, clearly at a loss for now. Donna is sitting on the stairs. She wipes a tear away, and then stares straight ahead for a long moment, pale faced, everyt sound blocked out except the beating of her own heart...
Typo on every.

Nods in Luke's direction by way of explaination. Typo on explanation.

And last but not least, every time the Nobles are mentioned, as in this:
INT. NOBLE'S LIVING ROOM it should be
INT. NOBLES' LIVING ROOM
Typo on where the apostrophe should be. It's a plural possessive.

Alas, I have worked as a professional copyeditor, so this sort of thing comes out. :)

Re: a few more things, if you would like them
Haha, wow! Then we're lucky to have you ;)

I'm being bullied off the computer by my 6 year old sister at the moment - I'll put them all right later.

Thanks very much! =)

Re: a few more things, if you would like them
Just re-watched the part where the names of the planets flash up onto the screen - Callufrax is spelt with two Ls, so I'm guessing that should be the definitive version.

Beneficial info and excellent design you got here! I want to thank you for sharing your ideas and putting the time into the stuff you publish! Great work!

Thanks for an idea, you sparked at thought from a angle I hadn’t given thoguht to yet. Now lets see if I can do something with it.
